THE MACKAY CUTTERS have today announced the new principal sponsor of their Cutters Academy as MRC Australia.
The principal sponsorship deal will begin in 2017 and will also see the MRC team as major sponsors of the Cutters Mal Meninga, U18 and U20 rugby league teams.
MRC Australia, another locally owned and operated business to join the Cutters team, is one of Australia’s leading radiator and oil cooling specialists. Managing Director Scott Thorburn said his company prides itself on giving back to the local community.
“With over 180 boys and girls participating in this year’s MRC Australia Cutters Academy program, our new partnership will ensure a development pathway for our stars of the future,” he said.
“This is a great opportunity to assist the Cutters moving forward and to help develop the abundance of young talent that we have in this region.”
Mackay Cutters CEO Troy Rovelli said it is extremely pleasing that another locally owned business has put their hand up to join the Cutters exclusive and loyal group of sponsors.
“Scott and the MRC Australia team have been supporters of the Cutters and various other local sporting teams in the Mackay region for a number of years.
“We are all excited that MRC Australia has joined our team and will share in our vision of providing junior development pathways for the Mackay rugby league community.”
